Sun Joo wants to go to Mt. Jiri with her boyfriend Kyung Woon, But she can’t go because of him. She is disappointed & drinks alcohol. She happens to meet writer Joon Ki. She is attracted to him. He suggests they go to see the sea. He wants to watch the sunrise with her.
They go out with his junior, Dong Soo with them. As the sun rises Joon Ki acts weird. She is also uncomfortable with Dong Soo. She wants to go back to Seoul. But they take her to Joon Ki’s friend in Gangneung.
To get away from them, she contacts her friend Myung Hee. But she gets uncomfortable there. So instead to staying over, she decides to go & meet her boyfriend who has a shooting schedule in Jeju.
The final scene when she catches a bus to go back to Seoul, tells the entire story. She sits in an almost empty bus. Settling down she can see the sun shining brightly. She draws the curtain. Yet, not happy she changes her seat several times!
The old saying, ‘A bird in hand is worth two in the bush”. She has a doting boyfriend. That their busy schedules cannot accommodate their trip is another thing. She has no worries in life. But wishing for more, don’t we lose on the joy of today???
