I can easily identify the story with Sant Dyaneshwar’s from Maharashtra, India. His father married but ran away to his guru. His guru being an enlightened being told him to go back. As a house holder he had duties to perform. He came back to his wife & sired four children.
Because of an ascetic’s children they were out cast ed. The parents , believing their deaths would end the suffering, ended their lives. But the children then faced more . Denied education & mingling in the society proved to be a boon in disguise. The enlightenment all four achieved is unparalleled. It is an ideal today.
Saints are known to suffer for the masses & bring in change. Nivrutti, Dyaneshwar, Sopan & Muktabai are names that spell Sainthood & dispel wrong practices.
Everyone is not fortunate enough to follow the path of a saint. Gautam Buddha was also one such. He left his wife, son & his entire kingdom in search of enlightenment.
‘Duality’ is said to be one. The end & the beginning is the same. Slow, but sweet story.
