It is a South Korean Drama. Drama special season 9. Directed by Kim Min Tae. Screenwriter Kim Sung Joon. It stars Kim Mu Yeol, Go Bo Gyeeol, Jung Joon Won, Go Min Si, Seo Jae Woo, Lee Ji Ha.
Lee Eun Jae & Heo Joon Ki are students living in a student housing complex. ( Eden). Eun Jae has failed the civil servant exam 5 times in a row & hopes to pass it this time. Joon Ki has failed 8 times & is struggling with his addiction to buying action figures. His younger brother, Yoon Ki, is an upcoming announcer.
A new student arrives in their housing complex. She stays next to Eun Jae. While studying, Eun Jae can clearly hear her through the thin walls. It makes her cranky. Following the murder of this newbie , events happen too fast.
Kim Mu Yeol as a rude student is how any one would be in face of several failures. I have not seen any of his works before.
Go Bo Gyeol as Eun Jae is a quiet, subdued student. Her failures have made her cranky. When she has a wound on her hand & the convenience store guy sympathizes, she knows he is being kind. But her mind has shut off.
Recently saw her in ‘Hi Bye, Mama’, was wondering why she looked familiar. I did not like the premise & left it half way. She is in ‘The Hymn of Death’, ‘Go Back Couple’, ‘Queen for seven Days’, ‘Goblin’, ‘Cinderella & the four Knights’, ‘The Producers’ & All seasons of ‘Arthdal Chronicles’!
Jung Joon Won as the younger successful brother on ‘TV’ is perfect. If possible, I could’ve hit him with a brick. Earlier he was in ‘Persona’, ‘VIP’.
Go Min Si is the new resident in Eden. She was in ‘My Sassy Girl, ‘Meloholic’, ‘Eulachacha Waikiki’, ‘Love Alarm 1 & 2, ‘Youth of May’ with Do hyun & the best role so far.
Seo Jae Woo as the convenience store guy is cute. We wished his story to progress. But it was cut short. I was watching him for the first time.
The story could have been better. It is too depressing. Based on the competitive exam, stress & failures, the drama ‘Trains Don’t stop at Noryangjin Station’ is better. It is hopeful.
