It is a 2014 South Korean drama film. Directed by In Hyuk Hwang. It stars Park Chul min, Shin Dong -woo, Na Hae-ryung. Kim Hyang -gi, Roh Jeong eui, Sazal Kim, Ra Miran, Yoon Sun woo.
Oh Man Bok lost her mother & her father abandoned them when her mom was pregnant with her. Her new family dotes on her. Her siblings love her a lot. They make sure that she never feels lonely & is a part of the family.
She has a bad eye condition. She has specks & her retina has a unique condition. She cannot go out after sunset. Everyone is thinking of how they can help. Father is learning English from Mark. Mother wants to get driving license so she can take Man bok with her. Her sister is thinking of having a boyfriend who will also take care of Man bok. Her brother wants to have a Guiness book record , from the prize money she can have the operation.
One day she hears a song on TV, this song ‘Letter’ , her mom used to sing for her. She knew this song was meant for her mother. She decides to find the man who wrote the song in order to find her real dad!
She travels along from Incheon & finds his cafe Letter. She has hot chocolate at the cafe. She has a good look at him. But after telling him her name she goes back home. With his business card she follows him on social media.
She learns he is getting married & moving to US, She goes to his wedding. Sings the song from the hall door. But doesn’t disrupt the wedding.
After knowing about her whereabouts from her friend, the entire family rushes to the wedding hall. Again, they are restrained. They stand behind Manbok.
As his dad is saying the goodbyes, she wishes him luck & asks him to stand by those he loves. Actually, He is not her dad. But he wanted to be a part of her family. But due to his parents, he left her & her mom.
Now, that he is embarking on a new journey, he needs all the good wishes.
In the beginning when they were all posing for a family photo, nobody would have guessed that Manbok was adopted!

Shin Dong woo from ‘Hwarang’ 2016-2017 & Na Hae ryung from ‘Girl’ 2004. They are perfect as her siblings.
The lead role of Manbok by Kim hyang-gi is superb. Starting as a child artist she has so many dramas under her belt. ‘Sweet Revenge’ 2017-18, ‘Moment of Eighteen’ 2019, ‘Space sweepers’ 2021, ‘Poong , the Joseon Psychiatrist’ 2022-23.
