It is a South Korean action comedy film. Written & directed by Jason Kim. It stars Kim Woo bin, Kim Sung kyun.
It was released on Netflix on 13 September, 2024.
Lee Jung -do is a black belt in taekwondo, kendo & judo. he spends his days playing video games with his friends when not working as a delivery rider for his father. His father has a fried chicken restaurant.
One day returning back from his delivery, he helps probation officer Cho Min jo in subduing a parolee. This incident is the turning point in his life. He starts working for the department & finds it fulfilling.
Kim Woo bin as Lee Jung do is perfect. His body type so right for such roles. Commanding onscreen. Starting with a mop of golden hair, he changes it to shorter darker shade of hair, saying how he perceives his life now, seriously .
After his comeback, 2022 ‘Our Blues’ & ‘Black Knight’, also sci-fi action film Alienoid directed by Choi Dong hoon, this one is another action film.
Rather than romantic, he excels in action. Not to say he was any less in ‘The Heirs’ along Lee Min ho. Also his ‘Uncontrollably Fond’ remains a class apart. With Bae Suzy he is so comfortable.
Kim Sung kyun as Kim Sun min, the director who grooms him to fit in. Who can forget him in ‘Reply 1988’ or ‘Reply 1994’? ‘Moon lovers : Scarlet heart Ryeo’ 2016 or ‘Divorce Attorney Shin’ 2023 showcased his talent.
‘I can hear Your Voice’ 2013 or ‘Hospital Playlist’ 2020, he can blend well in any role given, any age required.
The President in the last scene, Ji Jin hee, was a surprise. He awards the brave with his unmistakable smile & encouragement.
Action packed with a few gentle moments. For Kim Woo bin!
