It is a 2022 Chinese TV series adapted from the Chinese fantasy novel ‘Mirror : Twin Cities’ written by Cang Yue. Directed by Patrick Yau. It stars Li Yifeng, Chen Yuqi & Zheng Yecheng.
Set in a fantasy world named Yun Huang , the story tells of young heirs from Quan Xian & Kong Sang tribes, fighting for the freedom of their people.
Li Yifeng as Su Mo of the Quan Xian tribe & Chen Yuqi as Bai Ying , the princess of Kong Sang empire are lovers. Zheng Yecheng as Zhen Lan is the prince of Kong Sang empire. He had been sleeping for a hundred years. Due to Na Sheng he wakes up.
The sets are spectacular. The surprises unending. Costumes superb. Maybe in the Pavilion or in the tomb of the emperor, the action never ends.
A prequel series, ‘The Longest Promise’, premiered on July 2, 2023.
