It is a 2024 South Korean TV series. Also known as ‘Is It Fate ?’ Written by Park Geu-ro, directed by Song Hyun -wook. It stars Kim So hyun, Chae Jong -hyeop, Yoon Ji -on & Kim Da -som.
It is based on Naver webtoon of the same name by writer Nam Ji eun & illustrated by Kim In-ho. It was published in 2011.
The show aired on July 22 & is available on TVING in South Korea & on Viki & Viu in selected regions.
Only 8 episodes have been streamed. the next episodes will arrive on 19 th & 20 of this month. The viewership is around 3.050% Nationwide & 3. 454% in Seoul.

Kim So hyun as Lee Hong -joo is an animation producer, who is afraid of love due to a wound from her past love. Her studio reminds of ‘Producers’ & the wonderful cast therein. I am looking at her after years, But she looks the same!
Chae Jong hyeop as Kang Hoo-yeong is a financial planner whose heart begins to flutter again after reuniting with his first love after 10 years. In school, he is the perfect student & now a consultant from US here, for work.
I have been following him since ‘Nevertheless’ 2021, ‘Hot Stove league’ 2019, Just a few scenes from ‘Sisyphus: The Myth’ 2021. I haven’t gone around yet to appreciate Park Shin hye’s work! Cameos in “Shooting Stars’ & ‘See you in My 19th Life’ not worth mentioning. ‘Shooting Stars’ is stuck at the start & ’19th life ‘ had too much happening, to notice him.
I watched ‘Thirty nine’ again & saw Kang Tae ho! He is in the restaurant helping out his friend. But just a scene!
Then he took the lead in ‘Unlock My Boss’ 2022 & ‘Castaway Diva’ 2023. Now, his smile said something else. Then came the Japanese drama’ Eye Love You’ he was the Korean lead & his girlfriend, Japanese.
As the Korean guy visiting Seoul after 10 years, he is superb. Loved the drama. It’s all about second chances.
Yoon Ji on as Bang Jun -ho, the popular writer & Hong joo’s ex has played the triangle so well.
Kim Da som as Kim Hye -ji is Hong joo’s best friend. She has a crush on Kang Hoo yeong. Hong joo holding a letter for her friend in front of all students in the corridor gave me vibes of the Japanese, Chinese & Korean drama where the girl gets rejected immediately.
After 10 letters, Kang is unmoved. No response. He likes the letter bearer! Now, it has vibes of the recent ’20th Century Girl’ where both the girls fall for the same guy. The guy is all that. But finally, one has to give up. The other girl also wishes but never meets him again! Too sad a tale. Could have been better.
The two episodes have a reunion party, amusement park visit, Trekking, Hanbok wearing & lot of photos. A glimpse into their school, library. His office in Korea, uncle who is going to be of great help.
Also like many dramas they end up living in the same building. Like in 2021 ‘Dali & Cocky Prince’ & 2023 drama ‘Destined With You’. I don’t think there is anything new. Yet it holds your attention for sure!
