It is a 2024 Indian Hindi language heist comedy film. Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan. Written by Nidhi Mehra & Mehul Suri. It stars Tabu, Kareena Kapoor Khan & Kriti Sanon with Diljit Dosanjh & Kapil Sharma in supporting roles.

In the film three air hostesses become involved in a gold smuggling operation.

The film was shot in Mumbai, Goa & Abu Dhabi. Deloitte’s Hyderabad office in India was used to show as Kohinoor Airlines Mumbai Office in the film.

It was released on 29 March 2024. gaining positive reviews from critics, it became a commercial success.

Rotten Tomatoes gave it a rating of 6.8/ 10. Shubhra Gupta of Indian Express praised the lead actresses. She gave the movie 3.5 stars of five & described it as a ‘easy breezy’ comedy that washes away the stench of recent Bollywood duds.

Made on a budget of Rs. 75 crores it garnered Rs. 157 crores. The third highest grossing Hindi film & eighth highest grossing Indian film of 2024.

In 1986, a TV series ‘Air Hostess’ aired on DD National doordarshan. TV wasn’t 24 /7, we had to wait a week for the next episode. The glamorous cabin crew of an airline faces a lot of struggles & differences caused due to the politics within the industry.

Seema Malik, Kitu Gidwani, Krutika Desai Khan, Aanjjan Shrivastav, Vinod Pande. Today the taking maybe too rickety & lacking finesse but the emotions were so true.

Flying wasn’t for the middle class & we eagerly waited for our favourite stars to appear on screen.

Yami Gautam’s recent thriller’Chor Nikal Ke Bhaga’ in 2023 , was also based on a flight attendent & her boyfriend. The plan was to steal diamonds.

Sunny Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Indraneil Sengupta, Sharad Kelkar with others gave us a biting thriller.

I miss the old, golden films of 80 -90. Because we had loved them & become fans from there. More on gloss & less on gist is trendy today!
