It is a 2017 South Korean TV series. It stars Jung Yun -ho & Kyung Soo-jin. Written by Park So -yeong & directed by Song Hyun -wook. It is based on the webtoon of the same name by Team Getname.
The drama won Best writer award at the 12th International Busan Contents Market.
The story follows a man with the ability to read women’s thoughts when he touches them. It makes him to date someone. Then he comes across a woman who actually says what she thinks, but she turns out to have split personality.
‘What women want’ or ‘Marathi film ‘Ag bai Arechcha’ have dealt with reading women. Also ‘Behind Your Touch’ has her read the past events. Again the premise of split personality is classically dealt with in ”Dr Jekyl & Mr Hyde’. So many versions have been filmed.
Korean shows like ‘Kill Me, Heal Me’ has the multifaceted actor Ji Sung in several roles. Hyun Bin in ‘Hyde Jekyll, Me’, Marathi show ‘Dubhang’ with Dr Vikram Gokhale.
Kyung Soo jin has brought the two personalities to life. Han Ye ri & Han Joo -ri have opposite personalities.
Yun ho is a singer, songwriter. He occasionally makes screen appearances. With the lead role he has a lot of screen time. He has brought out all the shades properly.
Han Joo wan as the bookstore keeper has a major role. I had been searching for him since 2017 drama ‘School 2017’ he as Shim Kang myung or Sensei Shim is excellent. More than the students we root for him. With less screen time he has done wonders! Worth watching again for him!
Here, as a stalker, he is wasted. The reveal comes so late & his role so tiny. Actually, both these shows were made in the same year. But he is totally different. He has an award for Best new actor in ‘Wang’s family’. Adding to my list.
Choi Dae chul from ‘You are my Destiny’, ‘Hello, Me!’, ‘Vagabond’, ‘Love in the Moonlight’, ‘Who are you: School 2015’, ‘The Beauty Inside’ ‘Inspector Koo’, ‘When the Camellia blooms’ to name a few. Phew.
Kim Min kyu from ‘Business Proposal’, need I say more?
The story following the mysterious man falters with details. It loses the grip. We want the end so continue tenaciously. But the drive is gone.
It could have done with a tighter plot.
If you at all love any of the actors too much, go for it.
