It is a 2024 South Korean TV series. It is written by Shin Yoo dam. It stars Park Min young, Na In woo, Lee Yi kyung & Song Ha yoon. It is based on a webtoon novel of the same name by Sung So jak, which was also serialised as a webtoon.
It starts with April 12, 2023 where Kang Ji won is terminally ill with gastric cancer. She catches her husband with her best friend & a scuffle ensues. Ji won is accidentally killed by Min hwan, her husband.
Suddenly she finds herself in 2013 at her workplace. Equipped with same knowledge & information in her previous timeline, she must transfer her misfortunes to others. She resolves to have her friend marry her husband in order to exact revenge & escape her miserable fate.
Park Min young in the pivotal role is perfect. She has shown all the shades of her character. Na In woo has a well fleshed out role than his previous ones.
Lee Yi kyung is in a totally different role than his previous outings. ‘Welcome to Waikiki’ part 1 & 2 couldn’t be what they are without him. He is manipulative, authoritative, cheating husband to the docile Min young.
Song ha yoon as her ‘Other half’ is beautiful. If I loved her in ‘Fight my way’ I hated her the same here. Manipulative, stealing everything from Min young from middle school to the husband… !
Lee Gi kwang is the handsome chef who falls for Min young in school. He is successful as a chef today but has not forgotten his first love.
The viewership averaged at 9.1265 & 9.891% in Seoul. Beginning from Jan. 1, 2024 it started off the new year with good figures.
The Polish newspaper describes the series as an example of a ‘guilty pleasure’. It gives satisfaction & improves your mood. As long as you can turn a blind eye to bombastic banality, exaggerated dialogues & a lot of slow motion.
I was craving for Min young. It has been ages when I saw her ‘What’s wrong with Secretary Kim? or ‘Her Private Life’. I enjoy watching her.
