Lee Yeo-reum, a 28 year old woman decides to quit her job of five years. From Seoul she moves to a small seaside town called Angok. Initially fearing that the people don’t like her, gradually gets to know them & becomes friends with several.
Ahn Dae beom is a librarian at Angok library. His friend , Jo Ji young had feelings for him for years but he develops feelings for Yeo reum.
Kim Bom is a high school student who uses the library almost everyday. Her family, boyfriend form a bond with Yeo reum. Kim Joon, ten year actor is a delight to watch. After’ ‘Hospital Playlist’ he has grown taller but his innocence is the same.
Like ‘Hometown Cha Cha Cha’ the new lady faces challenges. In Hometown being a dentist, Shin Min a had to establish her practice. Here, Yeo reum plans to relax & enjoy life.
It also felt like ‘What’s wrong with Secretary Kim’ who quit to get married. Suddenly leaving the office is her decision. The drama has become iconic due to the concept. Money making or having a stereo typical life is not the cup of tea for everyone.
The filming took place in several locations including Gurye, Gokseong & Namhae. The viewership averaged at 0.866 % Nationwide & slightly better in Seoul.
I have watched Im Si wan before. In 2012’Moon Embracing the sun’, ‘Reply 1997’, 2020 ‘Run On’ as lead actor, in 2022 ‘Thirty nine’ in a cameo.
In LA Web Fest in 2023, Kim Seol hyun won the Best actress – Long form series.
The series is slow, serious, slice of -life drama. Stirring.
