The park shown is in Singapore. Some children are playing in a park. A little girl is all alone. A boy brings a teddy bear to give her. She just looks on. He drops it at her feet. She picks it up crying.
Later she carries it everywhere & searches for him. But she never meets him. Years later, she works in a book store. She finds a diary. It has pictures pasted in it. It has ‘Nicole’ & “Sean’. Someone must have dropped it.
Nicole assumes that he is the boy. She rushes after him. He admits the diary is his. But denies ever giving her the teddy! Discouraged she walks away.
In the park another boy is looking at her crying. After she picks up the teddy, he follows her with a handkerchief . He watches her everyday from afar.
A few times earlier, he has traveled in the same bus or picked up a coin to give her. But he goes unnoticed.
He should ‘ve stopped her & said , ‘He was the other boy!’. The gift giver moved on but the faithful one remained. This cannot be the end. The untold half remains.
She has a birth mark on her face. It makes her unique. Grown up she tends to cover it with her hair. Actually, she looks good with it.
Don’t we have spots on the moon, still admire it on a full moon!
It is a bitter truth that we aspire for the stars but don’t see the stars around us! Going for the aim, we lose on small things in life!
We forget to admire our gifts!!!
