An Accident..

When paths cross suddenly, accidentally.. it causes irreparable damage. I have been watching accidents in dramas, which changes lives. In Chinese dramas, it is either Cinderella meeting a CEO or a President & their lives change forever.

What about those road side accidents? Death or physical impairment makes a sea change. A life cannot be the same. In Nasik, near the ‘Blue Leaf’ resto & bar many a lives have been lost. The turn to Sula wines is just as famous.

The arch, newly erected , was damaged by a student of an illustrious institute. Studying in std 12th, driving a new car he dashed & died on the spot. His friends got minor injuries.

In Kalyani nagar, a two wheeler was smashed by a brand new Porsche . It was driven by a 17 year old, who did not have a driver’s license. His builder father gave him the key!

Ashwini died on the spot & her friend in the hospital. Both were 24. What a loss! Pune is a teeming hub for aspiring students. From all parts of Maharashtra & India young people come for education & better opportunities.

He was n’t even detained. 15 day service with traffic police is a light punishment. In the eyes of justice, all are not equal.

I know of a neighbor who was detained for three days in police custody. He was suspected to have committed fraud. He was eventually freed of all charges. But the trauma he faced changed him forever. An innocent man was framed. Real drama material. But the drama does not deal with people’s stigma & their changed behavior! Getting another job was an ordeal.

The thrill of speed should not cause someone else to lose their lives ! They are also someone ‘s children. Just when they had started to have a dream, their lives were shattered.

A renowned film star had driven his Land rover over some sleeping pedestrians. They died, he got out Scott free. Movie stars are idols. Young people worship them. How can they live recklessly?? Worried about privacy & image , now no punishment because of people’s sentiments ! They couldn’t have their God locked up??

I know accidents don’t happen everyday. It is an accident. But one can try to avoid it. Precaution is the key.

Having a mobile to your ear while riding a two wheeler, whose life is at stake?? Good, you don’t cherish your life. But other people wish to live!

I have decided not to correct any behavior. As long as I am not at the receiving end. Matters are grave, all over. Today, people act before thinking it through!

Need to learn patience.
