It is a 2024 Chinese drama. It is adapted from the novel ‘Bie Dui Wo dong Xin’ by Quia Yao. It stars Lin Yi & Ye Zhou.

A young girl reveals her crush on a classmate- only to be rejected. But love may still find a way when her gaming skills capture his attention.

Humiliating her in front of all present on the campus was just not done. As ‘Campus Hunk’ her gaming partner he wanted to do away with his competitor. So he had encouraged her to confess!

He had fallen for her as ‘Dough Twist’ & wanted to befriend her. With his gaming partners & friends ‘Camel’, ‘Wheat’ he frequently played with her.

The same premise of gaming is used in ‘Love O2O’Xiao Nai, a gamer approaches Bei weiwei to be his partner in a virtual game. When they fall for each other, Bei weiwei discovers that he is her college senior. Zheng Shuang & Yang Yang made the roles believable.

He takes the initiative. He knows what he wants. Here, Gu seems more muddled, confused. Also fears confrontations.

I became a fan of Yang Yang , but Lin Yi requires time. Tall, handsome he resembles any ‘Punjabi munda’ How is that possible? His face is more North Indian than Chinese.

In ‘Everyone Loves me’ he is very arrogant. In the bus, she asks ‘What are you doing? ‘ Her friend had asked her to ask such questions. He replies, ‘Driving!’.

His other show ‘Put Your head on my Shoulder’ in 2019, he is paired with Xing Fei. On the cusp of graduation, an accounting major searching for her career winds up living with a genius physics studentwho shakes up her daily routine.

The mother knows her. So they share a flat. Only their fields are different. In ‘Everyone …’ he is her boss, a gaming expert & she is the Animator/ graphic designer. They stay next to each other. So many dramas come to mind But the best is ‘My Love from the star’ with the iconic lead pairing.

‘Hidden Love’ or “A Small thing called First love’ have something that the other shows lack. I am not even mentioning ‘Meteor Garden ‘ or Dylan Wang!

Story is good but she needed more spine. He should have admitted his mistake publicly. He did go through hoops with her parents but by then he knew she is supportive & nothing can go wrong!
