It is an ongoing South Korean TV series. The hangul lit. means ‘Runaway with Sunjae on Piggyback’. It stars Byeon Woo-seok, Kim Hye yoon with others. It is based on a web novel titled ‘Tomorrow’s Best’ which was serialised as a webtoon by illustrator Doong doong.
It is the journey of Im Sol , an ardent fan of idol Ryu Sun jae. Sol loses her legs in an accident. She finds solace in his music. But Sun jae dies in a tragic accident. Suspected to be suicide. Fate has another plans. She wakes up in the classroom 15 years in the past. She vows to change their destiny.
In the first episode, she is in hospital recovering when she gets a call. The talk show where the members of ‘Eclipse’ are being interviewed. She shouts at them. When Ryu calmly tells her ‘ Be happy you are alive’
She becomes his fan! 5 years later, she meets him when her wheel chair is stuck on the bridge , in the falling snow. He offers his umbrella. Later he dies . He had been on medication for depression & insomnia. They say.
In the second episode, she wakes up in her classroom 15 years ago. She finds him in school & vows to be by his side. She plans to protect him. The time travel isnice.
But why does he die? Hospitals, doctors are meant to revive & not report them dead! Hope the altered future has something interesting!
Kim Hye yoon is just like when she was in ‘Extraordinary You’. Her friend remains special! The time travel has them in school & also staying in the same neighborhood. Just like ‘Twenty five, twenty one’! The DVD store run by her mother, there it was the book store where they often met. How I wish they remain with each other, here !
Byeon Woo seok as Sun jae is a promising swimmer. Just like Nam Joo hyuk in ‘Weightlifting fairy Kim Bok joo’. His shoulder injury & his father egging him on… all too familiar.
The love triangle completed by Song Geon hee. Being a flamboyant bassist, who has already impressed the girl. Naturally, now while time travelling she finds him not so cute. He wins with his looks & style.
Not a real threat but must have nuisance value. The episodes are catchy. Only 16 episodes seems to be a bit lengthy.
Who is complaining? All those who find him getting little screen time till now have him in the Lead!!!
