Also called ‘Shall I have a cup of coffee ?’ or ‘How about a cup of coffee ?” It is a 2021 South Korean drama. It stars Ong Seong wu as Kang Go bi & Park Ho san as Park Seok. Directed by Noh Jung Wook. It is based on the 2015 manha of the same title by Huh Young Man & Lee Ho Joon.
It is an emotional drama depicting a new barista Kang Go bi , who jumped into the world of coffee with pure passion , learning about coffee & people while becoming a disciple of Park Seok, a coffee master.
Every episode has a lesson for Go bi & us. The pace gets too comfortable. But the issues are all too real. We do come across people like this.
Earlier ‘Coffee, Do me a Favor’ was a 2018 South Korean show. It told the story of an overweight woman who after sipping on a cup of magic coffee, becomes a beauty & a handsome man who doesn’t believe in love.
In 2015, ‘Coffee Ani Barach Kahi’ an Indian Marathi language movie was released. Produced & directed by Prakash Kunte. It was a story of a girl who wishes to marry a boy of her choice but her father has another set in his mind.

Ong’s character is just written for him. He looks every inch the aspirant he is. I started watching him from his debut with ‘At Eighteen’ 2019. Later ‘More than friends’ 2020 & ‘Strong girl Nam soon’ 2023, I have seen them all.
Park Ho san is his mentor. He easily slips in any role. As a supporting actor in ‘Prison Playbook’ , ‘My Mister’ ‘Lawless Lawyer’ I have seen them all! His role as the Eldest brother in ‘My Mister’ is memorable. The entire show is flawless.
