Watching ‘Princess Hours’ made in 2006, I couldn’t help but admire the lead actress, -Yoon Eun hye. I had liked her immensely in ‘Coffee Prince’ 2007 that I had seen earlier. With her short hair, tomboyish ways, making Gong Yoo fall for her!
A role that had been turned down by many actresses, she cut her tresses & actually looks cute in it. I am not a person given to admire short hair. I have seen long hair pleated all my life.
But I love her hair & also Park Bo young’s in ‘Strong girl Bong soon’ so much that I don’t like looking at Bo young with long hair!
The other actress is Koo Hye sun from ‘Boys Over Flowers’ 2009. Her short ,straight , silken hair with white flawless skin makes her one of the best actresses. A poor girl in midst of all the elite schoolmates is a misfit.
Again, I saw her in ‘Blood’ 2015 as a capable arrogant surgeon of a hospital. Her long tresses hid her face & I longed for her short bob of hair. She is a capable actress who emotes so well. But her first image stuck to me. I couldn’t forget Jan di.
Koo Hye sun later went into direction & also won the Best Young Director award in 2014. She also won the Audience award in 2022 for ‘Dark Yellow’. Leaving behind her bad patch in life she emerged stronger.
In 2016, Yoon Eun hye won Globel Best TV actress in the 18th Huading Awards. After her ‘Go Go Song’ 2019 she hasn’t been in a TV series. But she appeared in 2022 ‘Kilimanjaro’ as a cast member in the variety show.
After having a great break very early in their careers, both seem to have found alternatives to remain in the public eye. With a new crop of talent emerging, the seasoned actors have taken a back seat but they are still in the reckoning.
