Princess Hours

It really gets interesting after the 15th episode. Till then we just get to know the characters. Along with the twisted fate & the schemes of Lady Hwa young to make her son the King, the leads gradually fall for each other & fast.

The real surprise was the Princess Hye mung, who enters later & has very little to do. But she is one of the best actresses to steal the show in a few scenes. I have been rooting for her since ‘Dream High’.

A cameo in ‘Extraordinary attorney Woo ‘ 2022 & as Noh Soo an, in ‘My Demon’ 2023 were her latest.

She gets the throne in the end. But I wished she had a more active role. A globe trotter, we expected her to clear the palace mess before it got to the media.

Of the leads, Yoon Eun hye is as bubbly as in ‘Coffee Prince’. But she is better in ‘Coffee Prince’. Working with Gong Yoo doesn’t bog her down. The eternal triangle is here, too.

Ju Ji hoon does his job. But a few smiles would have been fine. He is too gloomy. He is tall, good looking but with a droop of his shoulders. A Crown Prince on the posters is better.

In contrast the Royal Prince, Yul is better. Kim Jeong Hoon is more expressive & looks gentle. Song Ji hyo ‘s character is fickle. She turned down a proposal & wants to be in his life! Decide if you want to be a Ballerina or a Crown Princess!!

It made a good viewing.
