Article 370

It is an Indian Hindi feature film released on 23 Feb 2024. It stars Yami Gautam, Priya Mani, Arun Govil, Vaibhav Tatwavadi with others. Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale.

Zooni Haksar, an intelligence field officer, is recruited by the PMO Secretary for a classified assignment aimed at dismantling the conflict economy &combating terrorism in the Kashmir valley, just before the implementation of the abrogation of Article 370.

A real drama with creative liberties marks a promising debut for the director. The film is appreciated by the critics giving it a 3 and a half of the five stars. Visual appeal gets a four.

A worthwhile watch, offering enough substance to keep viewers engaged & invested. Yami Gautam is to be lauded for yet another stellar performance. A field easily dominated by men, shows her confidence, achievement & bettering herself everyday!

There is another short film made in 2020. Same name ‘Article 370. It is a story of 8 month pregnant Kashmiri girl Gul -e -rana who’s fallen prey to the worst communication blockade in embattled Kashmir. She suffers in the curfew while waiting for her husband to return home.

All of 16 minutes, it is gripping & heart wreaking. It has 7.7 / 10 points.
