Grace is a woman who decides to seek out a one night stand with a man after being passed over for a promotion at work, for being too reserved. Visiting a bar she meets Carter, a professional hockey player who is also at a career crossroads, with the two making a profound emotional connection over the course of the evening than expected.
Andrea Bang from ‘Kim ‘s convenience’ easily takes over the lead in this film. It is joe’s major lead role. They have done a fab job.
It was released to positive reviews from the critics. Rotten Tomatoes gave a rating of 86 % with an average rating of 7.6/10.
It was nominated for Best sound editing & Best sound mixing at the 2023 Cannes Screen award.
A film like this is a dance. If one changes the step, the other must follow. Both pay close attention to one another. It is the actors & also the script. Gradually you start getting to know them better & get involved so that you get impatient by the end.
Two total strangers, so they can’t be together . Yet now what will they do, you want to know! Sheila O’Malley gives it a 3 and half star.
Every minute is worth watching.
