Coming to the final episodes, I am around the 17th episode, still not coming to terms with his untimely exit. The one person who comes to mind in ‘Coffee Prince’ is the real ‘prince’ who takes care of his family. Gong Yoo dominating every frame. Yet when it comes to relationships, Lee Sun kyun is far better. He can understand why Gong Yoo likes his girlfriend, Yoo joo.
He easily strides over having affection for his lover, understanding his cousin, Gong Yoo & adoring Eun chan. He is able to respect his grandmother & bring peace to the household. Why couldn’t he do that in real life? Why did he think , there is no way out???
Given that rules in South Korea are strict regarding drug consumption, he faced 19 hours of interrogation. He came out clean but suspected drug use & blackmail took it’s toll. Bringing him in for three interrogations & nothing stuck. The leaked tapes were meant to drag his name through dirt.
Getting help is not considered a norm. With rising cases, over exposure to the media, one needs to get help. It is so common all over. One cannot be strong enough to tide over the bad patch.
In ‘Pasta’ as the arrogant Chef, he is liked by two women again. His ex-girlfriend & our own ‘Miss Cook’. Another Gong. Equally famous. With a stiff competition from the owner, San, he stands tall. He knows he is liked by the lady & admits he likes her more!
Also following him in ‘Dairy of a Prosecutor’ look how confidently he walks & talks. The office is the same as in ‘Stranger’ or ‘Divorce Attorney Shin’ but there is a spooky element around.
Looking at his latest photograph, alighting from a car in front of the Incheon police station, he looks older than his age. He was only 48.
I wish we could have been of some help here. At least in the future, we don’t have to lose a life so cheaply. Good bye.
