It is a South Korean TV series. It stars Namkoong Min, Park Eun-bin, Oh Jung se & Jo Byeong kyu. It revolves around a baseball team named Dreams, which has been the worst in the league for four consecutive years.
Written by Lee Shin hwa & Directed by Jung Dong yoon. It received critical acclaim & several awards. Best drama at the 56th Baeksang Arts awards with Namkoong winning his first Grand Prize ( Daesang) at the 28th SBS Drama awards.
The viewership from the first episode at 3.3% rocketed to 19.1% & 20.8% by the last episode. Placed at 13th it steadily maintained a rank in the first five getting to the first position with it’s closure.
Right from the first episode it has a firm grip. The nuances in the game, the game changing plans, bold decisions all culminate into an excellent drama.
Namkoong Min in ‘A Girl who Sees Smells’ 2015, ‘Beautiful Gong Shim’2016, ‘The Doctors’ 2016, ‘Good Manger’ 2017,’Doctor Prisoner’ 2019 & ‘Hot Stove League’ 2019-2020 has an array of roles. He is extremely talented.
Park Eun bin in Dream High’ 2011 in a cameo, ‘Hot Stove League’ 2019-20, ‘Do You Like Brahms ?’ 2020, ‘The King’s Affection’ 2021, ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ 2022, ‘Castaway Diva’ 2023, I have seen them all. She is one of my fav actresses. Blending into the role is her specialty. Her stars are on the rise at present.
She got the Baeksang award in 2023. By far the best actress we have today.
The rest of the cast are all veterans. They don’t act but live their roles. Oh Jung se, Son Jong hak,Lee Jun hyeok to name a few.
Entertaining, intense.
