Around the 37th episode, He Fanxing is forcing herself to like Luming. Dating with marriage in mind. She is keeping a record of all in a diary. Watching a romantic movie. Tick. It turns out to be awful. If she is focusing more on the movie & not enjoying the company, something is amiss.
Also when she meets Yuan Song with his colleague accidentally at lunch, she is seriously jealous. She spills her coffee (or was it tea? ) & also re injures her finger. She goes to tend to it when Luming comes across her diary. I seriously feel the diaries cause a lot of trouble. They are meant for mis- understandings.
Luming comes across a page where Yuan Song’s name is scribbled number of times. Then I felt sorry for the man! He had tried his best to win her over but the heart is something else. She has declared she has no feelings & that she is over her first love. But with his happiness in her heart she cannot get into a new relationship.
Also her father’s Alzheimer is bothering her. She wants to walk the aisle with him. And soon. She is doing an injustice to Luming. By not having any feelings she cannot suddenly start caring for him. Being a gentleman, Luming has never crossed the line.
Snatching her away from Yuan Song has cost him his age old friendship. Steven wants to have nothing to do with him! His fatherly instincts have kicked in!
The other pair is suffering. Her twin brother’s love is being tested. He can’t help falling for his student, Minmin who happens to be Luming ‘s niece. She has left her uncle’s house to stay with her friend.
Actually, I never understand the fickle breakups. Why couldn’t they calm down & sort their feelings? It caused them so much pain. She wants him to study abroad & not sacrifice his future for her but has not realized that she is his future! Slow on the uptake, good at her job, trying to learn to be a florist & open her own shop with her friend are all ways to get away from the present.
The person involved never realizes it. Hope she does & quick.
