The pace of the show in the initial episodes doesn’t remain the same. Also when they get more entangled with the lead pair, the others are pushed to the periphery. Actually his roomie gets more footage. Also he gets confident with his success.
But Ms Shen’s friend Song Dylan gets very little space in comparison. Actually her track was equally interesting. Her husband lends her support & realizes he was the one who was responsible for deterioration of their bond.
Not only does she play drums in the bar & gets liked by all, but starts teaching children. And is well liked!! This should have been explored more!
Ms Shen comes to help her boyfriend when he needs. Finally accepting him as her boyfriend was a great feat! Accepting their age gap & being confident in public. When he comes their party, un-invited was when she actually introduces him as her boyfriend to all her batch mates!
His rivals vapourise & so do her bosses. She is appointed as the ‘Program Director’ when Liza her immediate boss is called back to the HQ.
The acceptance by both mothers was interesting. His mother was happy for him. She was pleased to have such a beautiful partner for her son! Having devoted her entire life for bringing him up, her joy was supreme. Like a mother, she also guessed it all before he tells her!
Shen’s mother being a teacher, fails to truly understand her own daughter. She opposes the relationship & wishes them to break off. When she confronts them & asks them to speak up is one of the best scenes. Dylan at his best. With tears rolling down his cheeks, he can’t be anything but sincere!!!
For the first time in life, Shen also bares her heart. She puts her feelings in just a few words. It goes perfectly with her personality!
The end is as expected. A journey of life.
