The Rational Life

Around the 28th episode, the new energy cars are doing well. People have been purchasing & the sale has risen. To the chagrin of her boss in Shanghai, his schemes have not worked.

Also being in touch with her boss Mr Wu , Shen Ruoxin has been lucky. She deftly handled the charging issue.

The typhoon also brought one in her life. Searching frantically, Qi Xiao meets her in the office. But the automatic door separates them & he gets the opportunity to blurt out his confession.

I remember a similar scene in a Hindi serial ‘Kaisi Mohabbat hai’ where she gets shut in & he keeps her company, sitting out through the night. The glass wall separates them. Both the leads were fresh & adorable. Another office romance that set a high benchmark.

Luckily for him she accepts, in spite of the 12 year difference. I wonder why they made a big deal of it in ‘Hidden Love’ when he was her elder brother’s friend. Only five years senior! One of the reason why she had to keep her feelings ‘hidden’!

The romance just comes so late in their lives. He is in his 20s but mature to handle his feelings. Our fangirl did not like it much, but of course there is Dylan Wang & he never goes wrong! So there.

He quits with the charging issue. Remember he also was the first one to come to her rescue when she was slashed with cola! He has been by her side always & has promised as much for the future.

Mr Wu is far more dignified but if she doesn’t have any feelings, she was right in rejecting him. That scene is one very delicately handled. I have never seen a better rejection. Firm yet endearing. Without hurting him.

What is funny, is their mothers travelling together. Not once do they reveal the names of their children! That I found very un -natural. I don’t think mothers ever lose the opportunity to bring in their children, big or small! They are the biggest fans. But the banter at the dining table was interesting. They have yet to come to terms with the age gap. That should be the next episodes.

Finally coming to the close, this close to the end it remains a feel good series. A bit lengthy but good.
