Indian veteran actor died on 24th July 2023 at the age of 87 . He was awarded Jeevan Gaurav Award by the Ambarnath Marathi Film Festival on 21 st May 2023. In 2018, he received the Natvarya Prabhakar Panshikar Lifetime Achievement Award by the Government of Maharashtra in the field of theatre.
These few lines do not express the body of work he did. On screen, Hindi or Marathi he was the kind father, uncle, relative who appeared when help was needed.

Survived by his wife Sushma Savarkar, he led a quiet life out of the archlights. He has two daughters & a son.
Visiting his page I found it has very little information. He was in the industry for 6 decades! Working in the Marathi theatre as a backstage artist he got his break with Vijay Tendulkar’s ‘Manus Navache Bet’. Later he worked in ‘Hari Om Vithala’,’Gadbad Gondhal’,’66 Sadashiv’ in Marathi films.
Today very few actors would choose to be in his shoes. God help him to get peace. Our loss having to let go of a good human being.
