It is a 2022 American romantic comedy drama. Directed by Kat Coiro with screen play by John Rogers, Tami Sagher & Harper Dill. It is based an a 2022 graphic novel of the same name by Bobby Crosby.
It stars Jennifer Lopez as Kat Valdez, a superstar, who decides to marry Charlie Gilbert ( Owen Wilson), a maths teacher holding a ‘Marry me’ sign, after learning that her on-stage bridegroom Bastian (Maluma) has been having an affair.
John Bradley, Sarah Silverman, Ricky Guillart & Chloe Coleman star in supporting roles.
The film received mixed reviews from the critics. Made on a budget of $ 23 million it garnered $ 50.5 million. It also became the most streamed day-and date title on Peacock.
It got 7 nominations in various awards category. It went on to win MTV Movie & TV award for the Best song, ‘On My Way (Marry Me ) by Jennifer Lopez.
With a good storyline it could ‘ve achieved more. The emotions are lost in the glamour.
