Finishing at 12.032% & 13.604% after the final, 14th episode it made a record for itself. A commercial hit & one of the highest rated series in Korean cable TV history.
Any Wed-Thur drama has a lower viewership than the weekend drama but ‘The Good Bad Mother’ proved to be an exception. Ra Mi-ran as Jin Young -soon was excellent. Lee Do hyun as her son had a whole array of emotions to go through!
Ahn Eun jin as Lee Mi-joo was a delight to watch. After ‘Hospital Playlist’ she has grown as an artist. She had a lot on her plate as a single mother with twins. Both the women in Lee Do hyun’s life had a lot of challenges.
Yoo In soo as Bang Sam shik was the trouble maker who helps them out finally. He has a lot to make up for.
The villagers were a comic relief for sure but had their roles cut out to help the main story. The village chief (Kim Won hae )with his wife,Park Bo kyung had a very unexpected final scene.
Throughout the series the finer details have been taken care of nicely. The twins getting to know their father & then staying with him!
The mother dies & Lee Do hyun proposes. It was a repeat. His father had taken a cute piglet to gift his future wife, he does the same!
A serious, sweet story.
