A 2022 Indian Hindi language film. A family, comedy drama by Vikas Bahl. Produced by Balaji Motion pictures.It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna, & Neena Gupta. Arun Bali’s last performance as he died shortly after the film’s release. A Goodbye.

Made on a budget of 30 crores it garnered only est. 9.60 crores. In spite of positive reviews it failed at the box office.

The story centers on a dysfunctional household. All grown up kids suddenly find their mother has passed away & they have to stay under one roof till the end of the cremation. Their father has never made peace with the children. The mother reminded them of birthdays & was a shield between them.

Her demise suddenly brings them together. As they realise their loss, they also lean onto each other.

The flashback to their youth, when he proposes on a kite,’Marry Me, G’ is romantic & bitter sweet. He had wanted to marry Geeta, her sister. Who would dream of marrying the most beautiful girl in town! Their old photographs used makes it nostalgic. Amitabh in his olden, golden days of ‘Abhiman’ or ‘Janjir’!

The length is the issue. They could have made it shorter & more crisp. The younger generation raising doubts over the way of cremation or the time spent over it. Finally everything gells.
