Starting with ‘Coffee Prince’ starring Yoon Eun hye & Gong Yoo, it has been extremely exciting till date. I found nice suggestions & milestones on my way. Gong Yoo is one of the finest actors around. I followed him with ‘Big’, ‘Train to Busan’, ‘Guardian’.
‘When the Camellia Blooms gave me Gong Hyo Jin with Kang Ha neul. I had seen Kang in ‘Moon Lovers…’ & knew his acting. But This Gong surprised me with her ease. She is equally good in ‘It’s okay, That’s love’ with Jo in sung. Then she is authoritative in ‘The Producers’.
Kim Soo hyun, the rookie, in ‘The Producers’ is more endearing in his other shows. ‘Dream High’,’The Moon embracing the sun’, ‘My love from the Star’, ‘It’s okay to Not be okay’.
Kim So hyun the child actress in 2006 till date has so many dramas under her belt.’Who are You: School 2015′, ‘Love Alarm 1 & 2’, ‘Bring it on Ghost’, ‘The Tale of Nokdu’,’Guardian’,’The Moon embracing the Sun’,’The girl who sees smells’ the list goes on.
Kim Jae wook from ‘Coffee Prince’ to ‘Her Private life’ has done a range of roles. From sinister ‘Voice’ to ‘Temperature of Love’.
Pairing with the versatile Park Min young in ‘Her private Life’ who was in ‘City Hunter’ with Lee Min ho. ‘What’s wrong with Secretary Kim?’, ‘Healer’, ‘Forecasting love & weather’ with Song Kang & Yoon Park was her latest.
Lee Min ho in his first ‘Boys over Flowers’ is unforgettable. Looking at the bullying I never thought it would turn out to be a good show! So is the latest. Song hye kyo in ‘The Glory’ with Lee Do hyun. Barring a few shots it has a journey of pain.
The other Song in her life, Song Joong ki, is doing fine in his private & professional life. re married again, he has moved on. But we are still at his ‘Descendents of the Sun’. Or ‘Nice Guy’, ‘Vincenzo’, ‘Arthdal Chronicles’ to boot.
Starting with ‘One Spring night’ starring Jung Hae in with Han Ji min, he remains one of the personal favourites. Along with Han Ji min who was in ‘Our Blues’ with Kim Woo bin. It is a totally delightful drama with so many big stars. An experience.
I can go on & on. From ‘Move to Heaven to ‘Stranger’, ‘Reply’ series to alone ‘Moon lovers…’ some unconventional shows to also ran, I found my way through what I liked, hated, cherished & moved on. But the Korean touch never failed to fascinate.
From the costume dramas, thriller, romance, family all genres provide with a special treatment perfected over the years. Looking at a show from 1914 or 16 the difference is glaring. The 20s shows have better technology & finesse.
Kudos to all who made them beautiful.
