Translated ‘Traditional doll’ is a 2023 Indian Telugu language romantic action drama film. Directed by Shouree Chandrashekhar T. Ramesh in his directorial debut. It is a remake of the 2020 Malayalam film, Kappela, by Muhammad Musthafa.
It stars Anikha Surendran, Arjun Das & Surya Vasishta. The title is inspired by the song of the same name from Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.(2020)
The critics wrote ‘It is a well-crafted film about a social issue, but it is not as effective as the original malayalam film.
From a gentle romantic story when it moves on to more serious matter, it is a shock. Not having seen the original I had no idea why a romance is moving on to become an action drama.
The actors are good. The story engaging. A good film.
