Mr Queen

Around the 9th episode & the King , Queen are really exploring their surroundings together. Her collapse makes everyone worried. Is it poisoning? Why is she not conscious?

Out of the palace she is sent to her father’s. To rest. How typical. Again so natural. Interestingly the king decides to stay with her. He wants to find a ledger in the house. His father is one of the corrupt officials hoarding a lot of money.

When the Queen wakes up, she is blinded by the gold articles around. It says a lot about her father’s riches. In the morning, they decide to visit the city, incognito. He has not visited a tavern for long. They have a bowl of rice soup. He polishes it off . Some people are talking about the King. She gets agitated & walks up to them.’Who are you?’ To which she answers, ‘I am an antifan.’

When she is trying to make the King understand, he realises ‘fan’ is being loyal but ‘antifan’ is being more so. So true. In appreciation or following it is only extreme fascination but the latter is more. Obsession.

He realises he has a long way to go. His learning is incomplete. Such nuggets make it interesting to watch. Almost all the shows have a character being philosophical. Sometimes just observant.

Besides the comedy, romance, sageuk it has an entertaining feel. No scene drags. That keeps the events real happening. Way to go.
