It is a 2022 South Korean series, with two seasons. First episode on 30th Dec, 2022. Only 8 episodes. But every episode packed with emotions. Written by Kim Eun sook & directed by Ahn Gil ho. It stars Song Hye kyo, Lee Do hyun,Lim Ji yeon,Yeom Hye ran & others. The second part is scheduled to be released in March 2023.
A former victim of school violence seeks revenge on her bullies after taking up a job as a homeroom teacher at the elementary school of the bully’s child.
I stumbled on the series & looking at Song hye kyo & Lee Do hyun couldn’t resist. The first episode is scary.I almost thought of abandoning it. But it is not ‘just another revenge story’! The second episode starts with a high note. Lee Do hyun & Song Hye kyo meet & I wanted to know more.
Bullying is not new. “Boys over Flowers” had a lot. But one of their leader from ‘F4’ when falls for Jan Di our revenge is complete. Not quite. Lee Min ho sends his underlings to scare her. They don’t know where to stop or generally what is scary for a young girl. If the kind hearted soul, Kim Hyun joong , did not happen to be there? Scary!
‘School 2013’ had Lee Jong suk at the receiving end. He had it tough. ‘Who are you : School 2015’ had Kim So hyun getting bullied by her classmates. An orphan with nobody to look after, she gets bullied regularly. If that was outrageous, ‘The Glory’ has more.
Do we need to show it all? Don’t hints work anymore?? How can one human try to harm another? It is brutal!
In an institution like a school, it is a crime unpardonable. In ‘The Glory’ as she complains she is hit repeatedly by a male teacher. Bystanders all teachers, staff in the school do nothing! Her mother does what the bully’s mother asks for a wad of notes! The chit reads reason of dropping out…’maladjustment’!
Her drive makes her to study ,fortunately. She also changes her stance from suicide, which would have put an end to all. But she manages to survive. Doing odd jobs continues to pass her exams.
After these turn of events I found myself wishing to know more!
