Having a husband from a comic book & fantasizing about a happy life ever after! But the doctor Yeon-joo makes us believe it!! When Kang Chul steps out of the comic book we wish he could stay here forever. Especially when he takes his wife on a date. Having a cup of coffee just like any other couple.
Only we know that it is calm before the storm. Immediately after as she returns home, she meets her father. Why didn’t she wonder how he came out of a locked room? or how he got his face back? She starts talking to him & realises too late that it is the killer!
Her abduction leads to many more deaths & anguish for her husband. He rushes to her rescue to find her wounded. In the hospital she dies. Just when the pair were enjoying each other’s company & looked like all is well, she dies.
A heartbroken hero is something hard to deal with. The story needed a shock but not this. Well, his hand disappears occasionally indicating he is not the main character. He is a murderer & a fugitive having killed his mentor Mr Son.
Also the two worlds are getting mixed up. He watches his friend Yoon So hee getting out of the hotel’s entrance. A moment when their eyes lock then his car moves ahead & she is alone standing at the door. It is daytime when he is driving & night when she is standing & meets Seo Do yoon.
The writer Song Jae jung likes to create problems for the female leads by making the male lead disappear. In several of her shows she has been doing that. ‘Memories of Alhambra;, ‘Queen & I’, ‘Nine’, ‘The three Musketeers’ & of course ‘W : two worlds apart’.
The story is engrossing & made interesting by the leads.
