It is a 2022 Indian Telugu language action film written & directed by Gopi Ganesh Pattabhi & produced by C.Kalyan. The film stars Satyadev Kancharana & Aishwarya Lekshmi. It is her Telugu debut.
The film is a remake of 2018 Korean film ‘The Negotiation’. Godse released on 17 June 2022. The Times of India rated the film 3 out of 5 & praised Satyadev for getting under the skin of the character. Hindu opined that the film is interesting but fails to engage.
I saw The Negotiation first & couldn’t help but compare the Korean actors with the Indian. The chemistry between Hyun Bin & Son Ye jin sizzles that is missing here. The second half is slow & his friends, reunion gets a tad tiring.
We wait for the end which is tame compared to the original. It is shocking in the original. Also the center stage given to the negotiator is flawless. An action flick led by a lady was a delight to watch without using weapons.
A good film if you have not watched the original.
