One who teaches. It is his job. We find many ladies in the profession who care for the children. Their motherly behaviour is what brings out the best in the child. Of course a few exceptions are seen.
In society today the teachers & doctors have lost their importance.The image is tarnished. From the gold old ages, the time of the sages, Ram is known for his guru Vasistha or Krishna for Sandipani.
Shivaji maharaj is known for respecting Dadoji Konddeo. Later his giving respects & paying respects to Ramdas swami & Tukaram is well known.
One of the best teachers our own APJ Abdul Kalam never forgot who taught him to read. Gave him a newspaper which was not available in his village. I can never forget that he wished to die doing what he liked most & his wish was granted! He collapsed on stage delivering a lecture!!
An abusive teacher or a drunken one mowing many people. A teacher is someone the students look up to, the society revers. One should be aware of it & behave in the best possible way.
Not for the best teacher award but for the good students, setting up an ideal is a must.
