The Korean drama ‘Young Lady & Gentleman’ was premiered on Sept.25, 2021 till March 27, 2022. It starred Ji Hyun woo & Lee Se hee. The weekend drama revolved around a widower with three young children & a live-in tutor. Later he gets attracted to her. Despite their 14 years age difference we root for them.
Another South Korean drama ‘My Golden Life’ started in 2 Sept. 2017 & ended by 11 March 2018. It starred Park Si hoo, Shin Hye sun, Lee Tae hwan & Seo Eun soo. It revolves around a woman who has a chance to rise in status but falls into a bottomless pit, again finds a chance to seek happiness. It also involves a man who tries to find happiness in her.
One .. both were weekend dramas with 52 episodes. The family had three children 2 boys & a girl.
Second.. The boy is rich & the girl is very poor. Rags to riches story.
Third … the bond between the father & his daughter was very strong. The story revolves around them. Gentle touches, gestures & their self esteem is overwhelming.
I tried to stay away from long playing dramas but these are the best. “My Golden Life ‘ had almost 47.5% viewership on average as against “Young Lady & Gentleman’ with 32.5 % . But it’s OST ‘Love always Runs’ is too good.
Give me a good romcom any day!
