Watching Charlie Chaplin’s life is a sad saga so is ‘Blonde’. Her childhood, when she is with the single mother who beats her in her rage or drives out in the dead of night, on a journey to nowhere. The scene is tragic .It must be so scary for a child to wake up in the night, mother not totally sober, fires going on, police patrolling & stopping them. Mother turns the car to return but the child bears the brunt.

Her ‘endometriosis’ made her miserable. One in ten women have ‘endometriosis’ but they are not ‘Marilyn’! Use of drugs made it difficult. Her three failed marriages heightened her sufferings.

“Blonde” is based on the novel of the same name by Joyce Carol Oates. She has faithfully written about her life. The love of her life remained out of reach. Her fame, name were her own debacle. Played by Ana de Armas it is an honest account. In search of her illusive father, she is disillusioned.

Dependance on drugs cut her life short. Her big chances in life made no sense later on. Being in the public eye, on screen was to forget all her troubles.
