For the weightlifters it was paved golden all the way. The going got tough & they raised the bar. Literally. Loved the cheering friends, voice like Jeremy could be heard clear. He egged on Sanket & later Achint who won a medal each.

From their humble beginnings the players did so well. Making the country proud meant they had set their goal ages ago. It did not happening at that moment.

Vikas Thakur to follow was the cherry on the cake. He walked in confidently & lifted with style. The smile said it all.

The biggest achievement was the gold in woman’s fours Lawn Bowls team! They defeated South Africa to clench the gold.Lovely Choubey, Rupa rani Tirkey, Pinki & Nayanmoni Saikia made historyas they recovered after trailing in the title to triumph.

It was real music to the ears as the national anthem tune filled the stadium.
