A beautiful film of 2008. A romantic/ musical Hindi film directed by Abbas Tyrewala. He has only two films on his name & this is the best. He has written scores of films with Dialogues & lyrics, but this film stands out.
Revisiting it meant I knew every scene & yet it is fun to watch. It marks the debut of Aamir’s nephew & lead actor Imran Khan with supporting actor Prateik babbar. Re-appearance of lead actress Genelia D’souza & supporting actress Manjari Fadnis in Hindi cinema.It was released on 4th July 2008.
Music composed by A R Rahman, who won several awards for his compositions on the sound track.54th Filmfare awards for best Male debut- Imran Khan, best music director- A R Rahman, Best Choreography- Longines Fernandes for ‘Pappu can’t dance saala!’ with special jury mention -Prateik Babbar.
Coming of age movies have a charm of their own. “Jaane tu..” is really special. It’s jaadu remains fresh after so many years! And for more years to come!!!
