A 2020 thriller that has a good story. But it starts off with too much gore. The suspense is good & remains till the end, yet it could have been better with tight editing. The murderer is an unexpected revelation.

Tovino Thomas, Mamta Mohandas with others make is a good viewing. Debutant Directors Akhil Paul, Anas Khan have made the original in Malayalam. But the Hindi remake is close on it’s heel with Radhika Apte, Vikrant Massey. The story is slightly changed with a few more characters added.

Forensic became the highest rated Malayalam movie of 2020. It grossed revenue in spite of the Covid condition when it released in the theatres.

Major flaws are why is Ritika blamed for her negligence when her child goes missing. Isn’t the child , a daughter, of Xavier also?? How can they cut ties & leave her alone?? Isn’t that the time when she needed a family??

Secondly, if they wanted to show that she focused on her work better because now she had to look after her daughter only. It is more stressful to focus on work when she has a growing girl at home. The family could have rather should have helped then.

The counselling that was needed could have better results with a secure environment! Ritika is taking leave before plunging into the next case. She could have looked up to the family if they had lent her the support needed!

Mamta Mohandas has brought Ritika to life. A cancer survivor herself, she has worked in many successful films so far.
