It is a 2022 Indian Hindi comedy-horror film directed by Anees Bazmee. It is a sequel to Bhool Bhulaiyaa made in 2007. Slated to release it got stuck due to Covid19. Kartik Aryan & Tabu have done an excellent job. But the original had a zing that is missing here.
Bade Pandit, Chotte Pandit appear but something is missing. Manjulika sings the same song. The variants are aptly picturised. Tatsam Mukherjee in Firstpost lamented for the sequel has no narrative relation with the first film. The 2007 film used the vessel of horror film to tell an important story about mental illness, the sequel regresses into actual bhoot-pret.
The film is doing well at the box office. Released on the OTT platform it will be watched by many more. Presently it is the second highest grossing Hindi film of 2022.
