Won Jin -oh in ‘Rain or Shine’ is superb. Her hurt can be seen in her actions & in her eyes. She is moving on in her life but cannot forget the Mall collapse accident. Her life changed after the accident. Paired with Lee Jun ho who is another victim of the accident, she comes off the winner.
Not surprising that she was nominated for the best new actress in the 54th Baeksang Arts awards.In 2018, she won the 6th APAN star award. Well deserved.
In 2019 she appeared with Ji Chang wook in ‘Melting me Softly’. They take part in a 24 hour experiment where both are frozen.They wake up after 20 years. The scientist behind the experiment has lost his memory. People around have moved on in life. These two individuals attempt to resume normalcy & to catch up on the lost time in their lives.The reception wasn’t as expected. For Ji Chang wook the years 2019 & 2020, Melting me softly & ‘Backstreet Rookie ‘ did not do well as expected.
Her body of work is not much & yet she has made her mark. Not the classical beauty but she is pleasant & yes, memorable. ‘She would never know’, ‘A year end medley’, ‘Hellbound’, ‘Life’, ‘Long live the King’, ‘Money’, ‘Steel Rain’ & others.
