Welcome to Waikiki

The 2018 youth Korean drama can be a classic. Coming of age, growing pangs & the three friends staying together. A father comes in or a angry brother barges to have a word but generally the three have their own problems with no money.

How they go about to get the money before they are thrown out by the landlady is the journey. It touches you & you are sucked in to share their pain!

The baby is always neat & clean. Without money & when the mother ssssteps out who looks after… in a comedy show we need to forget that. For long hours if she is kneading the dough & practicing in a private bakery … how is the baby cared for??

It can have similarities to ‘Friends’ or ‘Dil, Dosti, Duniyadari’. The problems like searching for a steady job remain universal. So do the relationships. They change, evolve & get a battering, sometimes.

The special appearances make it interesting. Jeon Soo kyung as the owner of Waikiki Guesthouse is nice. She is a docile, wife to the Professor, a script writer in ‘Love ft. Marriage & Divorce’ She is the rich lady here, who can scare the inmates.

Halfway through, it remains entertaining!
