Loosely based on the true story of Gangubai Harjivandas, popularly known as Gangubai Kothewali, it depicts the rise of a simple girl from Kathiawad who had no choice but to embrace the ways of destiny & swing it in her favour.
Her struggles & triumphs become ours in no time. The narrative is strong & catchy. She rises above all. Another good film from Bhansali.
