The Duke & Daphne get married & have their honeymoon at his own castle or palace. But what I learnt is Page, the actor, will not be in the season 2. Now, his presence will be surely missed.
He has changed his genre from romance to a heist film. Good for him, but not so good for us! I liked the way his character was portrayed. His carriage, voice, poise all was just perfect!
Phoebe is a natural. She looks well, like Daphne! Her sparkling eyes, her face are perfect for her role. Her gowns with pastel colour could have been brighter. Her acting is there out of the book. Wish I had read the book first.
Without the sexual overtures it could have been a great story. A couple of scenes make it an adult film. Can’t we show restraint. Everything needn’t be led bare, I believe!
The atmosphere, sets lift us to that era for sure. Growing up with Enid Blyton like the others I had always wished to visit the people enjoying a snack with Lemonade or orange juice. The sprawling hills or the spring rushing clear. The palace, ball room, the regalia transport us to that age. The royalty has fascinated us for so long. Today we follow Prince William or his brother with the same zeal. Princess Diana remains embedded in our memory for ever!
