Bridgerton

The popular show was showered with viewers when it was released on Netflix. The second season is out. I wanted to see it for myself what is it all about! The eight siblings with unique personality makes it believable.

Only one character is focussed on at a time. So people like me don’t get confused. One the names.. for the life of me I cannot recollect names. Then associating it with a face, another hurdle. But it is a pleasure.

The story is not a lesson on history. Thank God. It recreates the era without being authentic. The imagination, cinematic liberty make it believable. The stuffy people have feelings just like you & me.

Money or position entitles them to privileges but that’s it! Daphne struggling to get married to a person of her liking is indeed frowned upon. Does she marry Hastings is the question.

Julie Andrews voice is the familiar factor. As she develops the story you become more intrigued by the person remaining anonymous.

Without a couple of scenes that could have been easily deleted, it remains an absorbing tale.
