Thirty Nine

It finished with a flourish. The viewership was the highest for the finale & it is understandable. They could pull it off without being teary. The end was sad but the fight given by her friends was commendable.

If we compare it with ‘Anand” .. well! Anand was long ago. Cancer was new then. The fatality was just gradually sinking in. The movie was sad. The impact was different. Here, her friends tried to help her out. She was not trying to be humorous but wanted everything settled before she was gone.

The entire perspective was different. Sorting out the lives of her parents, her friends & thinking of her boyfriend was the main theme. Booking a place in the columbarium or giving a list of people she wanted at the funeral was.. good thinking. It needed courage & clarity of thought.

The end was all about tying the loose ends & done so well. Kudos to the team.
