Thirty Nine

The ninth episode ‘Thousand nights over & over again’ gives a glimpse of what happened with Dr Cha Mi jo in the prison. She met her biological mother only to be disappointed. She wept on her way out. Her mother was excited to meet her & now hoping to extort money from the doctor.

How can a mother be so selfish? When we assume that a mother is wired to love her child unconditionally, is this an exception?? There is no guilt at abandoning the child so young & now that she is a doctor what is your achievement?? Just because she happens to be your child??? What is your contribution?? Not meddling in her life or being supportive by remaining detached???

How can someone be so brazen?? The two friends converging & helping her out with her boyfriend, Dr Seon woo, also driving them out all the way. These three happen to be her real well wishers!

Chan Young meets Jin seok’s wife & asks him to let her have a chance with her son. If she fails have him back. The shift in their relationship is gentle, unexpected & just cute. They refuse to dwell on the bitterness. Why didn’t they sort it out earlier?? Why does Chan young have to die to get closure???

As a young girl in love wasn’t she entitled to enjoy his company ?? To spend quality time in life?? Are some lives cursed?? What wrong did they do to deserve this???

Dr Cha getting the ring at the beach restaurant is the highlight of the episode. Both are so happy. So are we! Something is going right!!

Chan Young’s fainting makes her run to the cake shop from the hospital. But she is late. The shop is closed. What are best friends for?? All three break the glass to get the green tea cake for Chan young’s mother’s birthday. The police station, all knowing about Cahn’s illness & then the three friends enjoying food at the roadside shop. How many days or months remain to make happy memories … we wonder.

Only three more episodes to go. It ends by the month end. Exactly when Son Ye jin ties the knot with Hyun Bin in real life!
