Right from the title we know what to expect. Yet the lying person appears so genuine, that we fall for it. So did the lead. She has written the screen play on her experience where she met with Brian who said he was from Yale!
Not handsome, not a perfect body but his easy way got to her. She got swayed when he cries for his mother. She dies of cancer. They get into a serious relationship. Some things just stand out. His card gets declined. She is giving him costly gifts. Just when she doubts, he gives her the ring!
With the good friend she continues her quest & finds him a fraud! The stand up jokes may not relate to the screen so well, but the story is 100% true. That is the state we live in. How gullible we are with soft talk.
